Difference Between Apple Watch Series 3 vs Amazfit GTS
The Amazfit GTS is actually a clone of the Apple watch design that obviously aims to give smartwatch lovers a cheaper alternative to the Apple Watch. And no doubt, it’s a fine-looking smartwatch with a great resemblance to the Watch 3.
The GTS has the same aluminum case as the Watch 3 and it also has the same 1.65 inches display size as the 42mm unit of the Watch 3. Meanwhile, the 38mm unit of the Watch 3 has a 1.5 inches display size.
The display type is, however different as AMOLED powers the display of the GTS while OLED powers the display of the Watch 3. Both display types are very colorful and easy to read even outdoors.
In terms of navigation, the Watch 3 has a physical button and a digital rotating crown in addition to a touch-sensitive display that makes it easy to navigate. The GTS is also easy to access with a single button and touchscreen display.
In summary, both watches are sturdy and have a colorful display.
Talking about fitness tracking features, each of these two will track your steps, calories, sleep, and heart rate. Each of these two also has an inbuilt GPS that will allow you to track your locations and routes when you go for outdoor workouts.
The Watch 3 comes with an 8GB storage capacity which allows you to store your favorite tracks on the watch. This isn’t possible with the Amazfit GTS because it lacks a significant storage capacity for onboard music storage.
Moreover, the Watch 3 also has a microphone and speaker that allows you to make and receive calls directly from the watch when your phone is nearby. You can’t make calls with the Amazfit GTS because it lacks both a microphone and speaker.
The Watch 3 beats the GTS in every aspect except battery life. With the GTS, you can get up to 14 days of battery life which is far longer than about 18hrs with the Watch 3.
Which is Better?
Clearly, the Watch 3 is a better smartwatch compared to the GTS. It’s a more equipped smartwatch with onboard storage, microphone, loudspeaker, fitness tracking features, and there’s a cellular model which makes it a more comprehensive smartwatch. It’s the best for iOS device users.
On the other hand, the GTS is a fine alternative, it’s way cheaper, has a lightweight design, is equipped to track your daily activities, and has a far longer battery life than the Watch 3 which lets you go longer from a single charge.
