Garmin Forerunner 165 Full Specifications – The Forerunner 165 is the latest smartwatch from Garmin, and it’s an entry-level GPS watch, durably built and loaded with lots of interesting features. The Forerunner 165 is not a successor to the Forerunner 55, it’s actually a whole new model. It has an AMOLED display and boasts up to 11 days of battery life.

The Forerunner 165 is available in two models, a music and non-music version. The Forerunner 165 Music as the name indicates has 4GB storage and Wi-Fi that will allow you to download music to the watch from services such as Spotify, Deezer and Amazon Music. As a result of onboard music storage, the Forerunner 165 retails for $249 while the Forerunner 165 Music retails for $299.

Like other Garmin watches, the Forerunner 165 is also a sturdily built watch. The frame is made of fiber-polymer while the straps are made of silicone. Meanwhile, a chemically strengthened glass protects the display. The watch is rated 5ATM which means it’s safe to wear while swimming in the pool or taking a bath. However, I don’t recommend diving with the watch as that can subject it to intense pressure that can possibly damage it. The Forerunner 165 is easy to operate, thanks to the 5 physical buttons and the touch-sensitive screen. Meanwhile, the watch has a 1.2 inches display powered by AMOLED.

In the activity tracking department, the Forerunner 165 is well equipped to track your daily activities, help you stay fit and also reach more fitness goals. It has an inbuilt GPS that allows the watch to map your routes during an outdoor activity. It will also track all the vitals like your sleep, stress, blood oxygen and heart rate. It also features the health snapshot, fitness age, body battery energy monitor and a decent number of sports profiles.

Beyond the durable design and many activity-tracking features, it will also help you stay connected so that you don’t miss important updates on your phone. When notification is enabled for your preferred apps, the Forerunner 165 will vibrate every time you get a new message on your phone. It will also allow you to reply to messages with preset quick replies and it can also show images received in messages.

In the battery department, Garmin has also done a decent job. The Forerunner 165 boasts up to 11 days of battery life, and when GPS is enabled, it’s up to 17 hours.
