The Galaxy Watch 6 succeeds the Galaxy Watch 5 and it comes with a few additions. The new watch which was released alongside Galaxy Watch 6 Classic has a bigger display, an easier to swap band and is powered by a faster Exynos W930 chip. Moreover, the Galaxy Watch 6 launches with Wear OS 4 out of the box and boast up to 40hours of battery life.

Like its predecessor, the Galaxy Watch 6 comes in two sizes; 40mm and 44mm and each of these sizes is also available in both LTE and Bluetooth models.

And like older Galaxy Watches, the Galaxy Watch 6 boasts staggering durability. It has a frame made of armor aluminum while the screen is a premium Sapphire glass. Meanwhile, the straps which are now easier to change come in silicone material and can be swapped with 20mm wide straps. The Galaxy Watch 6 is also rated 5ATM which means it can survive water pressure up to 50 meters.

The 44mm unit of the Galaxy Watch 6 comes in graphite and silver colors while the 40mm unit is available in graphite and gold colors.
Beyond the durable design, the Galaxy Watch 6 like its predecessor has an AMOLED powered display which is very colorful and easy to read. However, the display is now bigger. While the 40mm has a 1.3 inches display, the 44mm unit has a 1.5 inches display.

Surprisingly, like the Galaxy Watch 5, the Galaxy Watch 6 has 16GB storage out of which about 8GB is available for use. This is quite small especially considering that the likes of Pixel Watch 2 and Apple Watch Series 9 boast 32GB and 64GB respectively.

There is a microphone and speaker in the Galaxy Watch 6 that allows for Bluetooth calls, and with the LTE model, you can make and receive calls without your phone.

The Galaxy Watch 6 is also a comprehensive health tracker, it boasts a long list of health-tracking features. It features regulars like the ability to track your steps, sleep, heart rate, calories, stress, blood oxygen and skin temperature. It also features ECG and blood pressure monitoring, and there is also a long list of sports modes to choose from. There is also an inbuilt GPS in the Galaxy Watch 6 that allows it to map your routes and locations during an outdoor activity.

In the battery department, the 40mm unit is equipped with a 300mAh battery capacity while the 44mm unit is equipped with a 425mAh battery. Samsung claims you can get up to 40 hours in typical usage and up to 30 hours with always-on enabled. Interestingly, it takes less than an hour to fully charge the watch.

Galaxy Watch 6 (40mm) Bluetooth model retails at $270 while the 44mm unit retails for $300. Meanwhile, the 40mm LTE model has a $320 price tag while the 44mm unit has a $350 price tag.
